This award honors a student transition or early professional working within the field of entomology who has demonstrated excellence in all the major aspects of intellectual life, including research, extension, teaching, and outreach. The candidate will have made outstanding contributions to entomology, shown commitment to extension, excelled in entomological education, and exhibited creativity and leadership in outreach. The recipient will receive complimentary registration to the SEB-ESA Annual Meeting, a $500 check, and an award plaque.  

This award recognizes and encourages outstanding contributions to Extension entomology. Recipients of this award are nominated for the ESA Distinguished Achievement Award in Extension.The award will be presented at the ESA-SEB Annual Meeting. The recipient is expected to be present at this meeting to receive the award.

Recipients of this award are nominated for the ESA Distinguished Achievement Award in Teaching. The award will be presented at the ESA-SEB Annual Meeting. The Southeastern Branch of the Entomological Society of America is currently looking to expand its archive collection. Housed and permanently maintained in the North Carolina State University Libraries' Special Collections at Raleigh, the collection contains annual meeting programs, photos of award winners and speakers, historical documents, and other items of interest to the Branch.
