This award honors a student transition or early professional working within the field of entomology who has demonstrated excellence in all the major aspects of intellectual life, including research, extension, teaching, and outreach. The candidate will have made outstanding contributions to entomology, shown commitment to extension, excelled in entomological education, and exhibited creativity and leadership in outreach. The recipient will receive complimentary registration to the SEB-ESA Annual Meeting, a $500 check, and an award plaque.

Housed and permanently maintained in the North Carolina State University Libraries' Special Collections at Raleigh, the collection contains annual meeting programs, photos of award winners and speakers, historical documents, and other items of interest to the Branch.
