This award recognizes an Eastern Branch member who has made outstanding contributions in Integrated Pest Management.  The winner of this award will be recognized at the Eastern Branch Annual Meeting and will be submitted to the ESA Award for Excellence in Integrated Pest Management as the Branch nominee for that same year. The Eastern Branch committee chair will notify all candidates and their nominators with the results of their nomination approximately two months after the nomination submission deadline.

The winner of this award will be recognized at the Eastern Branch Meeting and will be submitted to the ESA Distinguished Achievement Award in Teaching as the Branch nominee for that year. The Eastern Branch committee chair will notify all candidates and their nominators with the results of their nomination approximately two months after the nomination submission deadline.

This award recognizes an Eastern Branch member for outstanding contributions in the area of extension. The winner of this award will be recognized at the Eastern Branch Meeting and will be submitted to the ESA Distinguished Achievement Award in Extension as the Branch nominee for that year. The Eastern Branch committee chair will notify all candidates and their nominators with the results of their nomination approximately two months after the nomination submission deadline. 

The Herb T. Streu Meritorious Service Award was established by the Eastern Branch of the Entomological Society of America in 1991 to provide timely recognition of Eastern Branch members for outstanding service to the society. The awardee will be recognized by the presentation of a framed award certificate at the annual meeting of the Eastern Branch of the Entomological Society of America.

In Memoriam: Tribute to Herb Streu

The L. O. Howard Distinguished Achievement Award was established by the Eastern Branch of the Entomological Society of America in 1974 to recognize scientists who have made significant contributions in the field of entomology. The awardee will be recognized by the presentation of a framed certificate at the annual meeting of the Eastern Branch of the Entomological Society of America.

Awards to be presented at the 2026 North Central Branch Meeting

The Eastern Branch of the Entomological Society of America recognizes an outstanding Masters level graduate student each year through the presentation of the Asa Fitch Memorial Award. The award consists of $250 and a certificate. 

Southeastern Branch Student Display Awards are given to the M.S. and Ph.D. students who present the best research papers in a display format at the annual Branch meeting. The award is based on both presentation of the display and a written summary. Recipients of the ESA-SEB Outstanding Student Display Presentation Awards each receive $100 cash and a plaque. The awards are presented at the ESA-SEB annual meeting Awards Luncheon and the recipients are encouraged to be present to receive the award.

The Robert T. Gast Award (Ph.D.) and the Southeastern Branch Student Award (M.S.) are awarded to students who present the best research papers at the ESA-SEB annual meeting. The awards are based on the performance of the student’s oral presentation. Each of the first place recipients of both Robert T. Gast and The Southeastern Branch Student Awards receives a check of $200 and a plaque. The second place awardees each receive a check of $100 and a certificate.
