This award was presented to honor an NCB-ESA member for demonstrated excellence in Horticultural Entomology. As of October 2018 this award is no longer being offered and has been combined with the NCB Recognition Award in Entomology and the Recognition Award in Urban Entomology to create the NCB Legacy Contribution Award.

The Southwestern Branch Lifetime Service Achievement Award will be awarded to honor those members who over a long period, contributed exceptional leadership and service to the branch their service and future thinking combined with branch leadership roles, recognitions and honors earned over the years, validate their acceptance of such a prestigious award.
