About: February 22-26, 2021, is #BlackInEnto week, a community-organized event aimed to highlight the diversity of work being undertaken by the Black entomology community around the world. Tune in to live panels on graduate and undergraduate research and careers, colonialism in entomology, intersectionality in our communities, and leadership in entomological societies, with speakers including ESA Vice President Jessica Ware, Ph.D., and Past President Alvin Simmons, Ph.D. Events will also include video presentations of entomophagy cooking demos; tours of museums, field sites and labs; art and illustration; and best practices for outreach. Plus, test your knowledge at a virtual trivia event and chat with others about facts and fiction during insect movie night!
