Tracy Leskey Selected to Deliver 2023 ESA Founders' Memorial Lecture

Annapolis, MD; May 31, 2023—Tracy Leskey, Ph.D., director and research leader at the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service's Appalachian Fruit Research Station, has been selected to deliver the Founders' Memorial Award Lecture at Entomology 2023, the Annual Meeting of the Entomological Society of America.

NCB Excellence in Early Career Education and Engagement Award

This award honors a student transition or early professional working within the field of entomology who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to teaching, mentoring, extension, and/or outreach. The recipient will receive a $250 check and an award plaque.

Southeastern Branch Student Registration Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for any undergraduate or graduate student performing research or extension/outreach work in the field of entomology to present their work at the ESA Southeastern Branch Meeting. 

Five full registration scholarships will be provided for students to attend the 2025 Southeastern Branch Meeting. Funding priority will be given to students who have not previously attended a Branch meeting and are members of underrepresented demographics within ESA

ESA Names 2022 Professional and Student Award Honorees

ESA Awards & Honors recognize scientists, educators, and students who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to entomology. Award honorees will be showcased during the 2022 Joint Annual Meeting of the Entomological Societies of America, Canada, and British Columbia, November 13-16, in Vancouver.

Christopher Beatty Chosen for 2022 ESA Founders' Memorial Lecture

Annapolis, MD; May 9, 2022—Christopher Beatty, Ph.D., visiting scholar in the Program for Conservation Genomics at Stanford University, has been selected to deliver the Founders' Memorial Award lecture at the 2022 Joint Annual Meeting of the Entomological Societies of America, Canada, and British Columbia.
