The Pacific Branch Entomological Society of America is now accepting submissions for the Photo Salon event at the 2024 branch meeting! We want to see your best, coolest, and most interesting photographs that showcase entomology!

Winning entrants in this year’s competition will receive not only bragging rights, but also a cash prize! All submitted photographs will be displayed during the conference. Meeting attendance not required.

Submissions are due at 11:59 PM, March 31, 2024, and should be sent to Josh Milnes at jmilnes@agr.wa.gov

Entry deadline for photo salon entries: March 31, 2024. 
Theme: Pineapple Madness

Cash Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 Most Outstanding Images:

  • 1st Place: $50 cash + printed photo
  • 2nd Place: $25 cash + printed photo
  • 3rd Place: $25 cash

Eligibility:
Must be a registered PBESA member, but meeting attendance is not required.

Subject: 
All insect taxa are eligible; terrestrial arthropods may be included as well.  Insects should be the main subject.  

Image Format:
Send the highest quality version that you’ve got.  Include your last name in the filename, and if submitting more than one (up to 3 per person) number them.  Example: Milnes_dragonfly_cellphone_01.jpg.  

Submission*:
Send photos as an email attachment to Josh Milnes.
