By volunteering their time and energy, ESA members fulfill vital leadership roles within the Society, making important decisions and carrying out essential functions as stated in the ESA Bylaws and Policy Manual.
All Society officers are elected by the membership through annual elections. All Branch officers are elected by the relevant Branch membership during the annual elections for the specific Branch.
ESA Elections
ESA conducts elections for Governing Board positions, some Section and Branch officers, and Honorary Membership each year in the summer. Members must be active as of June 1 to be eligible to vote in that year's elections. Candidates are typically announced in mid-June.
The Entomological Society of America's 2025-2026 elections, conducted via electronic ballot, will open July 14, 2025, and close August 13, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time.
