• Are there individuals from typically underrepresented groups (e.g., early career professionals, non-male, non-White) who may have been overlooked that you could invite to be a part of your symposium?
• What resources (e.g., documents, webinars, blog posts, etc.) would be helpful to you and others in helping to recruit symposium organizers from underrepresented groups?

What is a late-breaking government symposium?

Due to the US federal government shutdown and the inability of federal employees to access email and work during this time, ESA is providing all US federal employees an extended opportunity to submit a symposium proposal for the Annual Meeting program. To be eligible to submit to this program, a minimum of one organizer must be a US federal government employee.

The Annual Meeting Program Committee is working to build an outstanding program. The program will feature four days of an in-person meeting, including symposia, interactive workshops, mixers and networking sessions, an Exhibit Hall, and more!
