Women & Allies in Entomology Breakfast

Monday, November 11
7:00 – 8:00 AM
Purchase ticket for regular meal: $40
Purchase ticket for vegan meal: $40

The Women & Allies in Entomology (W&AIE) breakfast is an inclusive networking event that connects women and underrepresented groups with mentors and career information. Complimentary breakfast tickets will be offered to 200 students and early career professionals thanks to our sponsor Corteva Agriscience.

This year, complementary tickets will not be available at the door and will need to be obtained, at a desk near registration and during the welcome reception from a designated W&AIE representative. The best way to secure your spot and ensure your ability to network at this event is to purchase your ticket in advance. Only a limited number of tickets will be available at the door and to properly account for catering, we ask that you purchase your tickets ahead of time.

We look forward to seeing you at the Annual Meeting signature event!

South of the Border Buffet
Menu: Carne asada & scrambled eggs with pepper jack cheese wrapped in flour tortilla. Also include breakfast pastries, fresh fruit assorted bottled juices and freshly brewed starbucks coffee and assorted bigelow tea. For vegan attendees, there will be vegan burritos as a substitute.

For decades, the W&AIE breakfast has been a hub of networking, collaboration, and mentorship for young women and members of underrepresented groups within the society. Each year, 200 students and early career professionals have their ticket price sponsored by a generous donation from Corteva Agriscience, but in recent years, popularity of this event has grown beyond any of our expectations, necessitating additional funds to continue to provide students and ECPs with this opportunity. For the first time, we are inviting those who feel compelled to make donations to the breakfast. Donations will help to defer ticket costs for students or early career professionals, providing them with the opportunity that so many of us have enjoyed since this event’s inception in 1989.
