The theme for this year's meeting is Progress that matters. Innovation that serves. Where ideas shine and impact grows. This year’s theme celebrates the ability of science to spark meaningful change. We invite symposia that showcase breakthroughs improving lives, creative solutions to today’s challenges, and bold visions for tomorrow’s possibilities.
We hope to attract a broad range of topics in 2026, so do not hesitate to be creative when considering submitting your ideas. We are seeking symposia that represent the diversity of PB member research, including urban, medical/veterinary entomology, global change ecology, insect conservation and cross-border research. We are particularly interested in symposium submissions that highlight any of the following topics:
• Integrated pest management
• Biological control
• New emerging/invasive pests
• Use of AI/machine learning in entomological research
• Climate change-related research
• Urban entomology and landscape ecology
• Systematics and genomics
• Microbiomes and symbioses
• Medical and veterinary entomology
• Cognition and behavior
• Entomophagy
• Chemical ecology and metabolomics of insects
• Aquatic insects and stream/fish healthy indicators
• Science communication and policy
• Formal and Informal Teaching
• Cross-border research and collaborations
